The movie takes place in San Diego where famous anchorman, Ron Burgundy (Will Farrell) and his crew of chauvinistic anchormen ruled the TV news airwaves. Not until he encounters Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), an aspiring and driven anchorwoman who steals the lime light from Ron and his crew.
